Eternal Vigilance is not only about overcoming an eating disorder. It is
also about understanding one’s family of origin, history, background,
world view, perception of self and others and how our perception does
become our reality.
As a child, some of our behaviors serve a purpose for us, but when we
become adults, they are no longer appropriate. As an adult, those same
childhood self-protective behaviors may become our adult
I share with you my experiences, insights and the steps that I took to
better understand not only myself but to begin to put the pieces
together in order to attain more peace and self-acceptance.
Once I realized that bingeing was no longer an option, I stopped. I have
remained binge-free since 1984. Finally, the words, “The price of
